Angus Ferguson, co-founder of Edinburgh’s Demijohn, will host an evening of gin tasting. He’ll give an insight into the science behind the creation of the flavours of the seven different gins from the Demijohn range that will be on offer to taste. Learn how juniper berries and other botanicals are combined together to make each gin distinctive. Angus will also talk about the ethos of Demijohn, Scotland’s first liquid deli. Fifteen years ago, he and his wife Frances introduced a new style of low impact retailing and responsible sourcing, minimising unnecessary packaging and allowing their customers to refill their Demijohn bottles. From a single store they have grown to have multiple outlets throughout the UK, including an international mail order business, retailing a range of over 80 unique food and drinks products sourced mainly from Scotland and the UK.
